David Piccini is the MPP for Northumberland-Peterborough South and Ontario’s Minister Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. Prior to this, David was Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks. Before coming to the Ministry, David served as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities and was a member of the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs.

David began his career with the federal public service, notably in the Office of the Minister of International Trade, where he contributed to key files including the Canada-Europe Free Trade Agreement. He then joined the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada where he helped found the Canadian International Health Education Association.

David lives with his wife and two dogs in Port Hope, the town where he grew up, and is an active member of the community. He is currently a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and supports local youth soccer teams in his spare time.
