Ontario PCs Protecting Local Jobs from U.S. Tariffs

With President Trump’s tariffs and tariff threats creating uncertainty for workers, businesses and communities across Ontario, Doug Ford and our Ontario PC team are taking action to protect local jobs and strengthen our economy.

Our government has put forward $30 billion in tariff relief, supports and measures to help Ontario businesses compete, grow and keep people working.

That includes the $40 million Trade-Impacted Communities Program, which is helping communities strengthen their local economies, diversify supply chains and build new trade partnerships.

We’re also investing $150 million through the Ontario Together Trade Fund to help Ontario companies expand their capacity, reach new markets and bring critical supply chains back home.

Already, the Ontario Together Trade Fund has helped support 89 companies investing nearly $1 billion, protecting and creating more than 10,000 jobs across the province.

At a time of global economic uncertainty, Doug Ford and our Ontario PC team are focused on what matters: protecting Ontario workers and their paycheques.

That means lowering costs, cutting red tape, opening new markets and making the strategic investments needed to build the most competitive and self-reliant economy in the G7.

We will always stand up for Ontario workers, protect local jobs and do whatever it takes to keep our economy strong.
