Ontario PCs Deliver More Support for Injured Workers

Ontario’s workers built this province and our Ontario PC team will always have their backs.

That’s why we’re proposing the first increase in WSIB benefits in nearly 30 years, putting more money back in the pockets of injured workers when they need it most.

If passed, injured workers would receive 90% of their take-home pay, up from 85%, helping families keep up with the cost of living while they focus on recovery.

We’re also updating the system to reflect today’s workforce. Workers who plan to continue working past age 65 would no longer lose their benefits automatically, ensuring they don’t lose income they were counting on.

These changes deliver real support for workers while keeping the WSIB system strong and stable, with no increased costs for employers.

At a time of economic uncertainty, this is about protecting workers, supporting families, and strengthening Ontario’s workforce.

It’s part of our plan to Protect Ontario, making sure our province remains the best place in the G7 to invest, create jobs, and build a strong future.
